Darwin Beige

Cleo FabricJ0249-09

Darwin Beige is a softly warm beige with a fine, dappled texture that reads calm and understated. Its tiny repeat creates a gentle all-over surface rather than a bold pattern statement.

About this fabric

Darwin Beige from the Cleo collection by Jane Churchill is a 144cm approx. wide fabric woven in 44% viscose, 32% cotton and 24% polyester. The surface shows a tight small-scale repeat, with the tiny motif appearing almost peppered across a warm sandy beige ground. The overall effect is matte and softly textural, with just enough tonal variation to stop the colour from feeling flat. It is a balanced, versatile cloth that suits both upholstery and drapery applications when you want a quiet, tailored finish.

How to use it

Use this beige colourway on a sofa, bench or headboard where you want texture more than contrast. It pairs naturally with oak, limestone and other warm neutrals, and layers easily with deeper caramel or olive accents.

A subtle, versatile beige that brings gentle warmth and texture without dominating a scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
