Darwin Aqua

Cleo FabricJ0249-05

Darwin Aqua shows a tiny, all-over geometric pattern that reads like a softly mottled aqua from a distance. The cool, pale ground gives the design a fresh, lightly textured look.

About this fabric

This colourway has a muted aqua cast with a silvery, almost misty finish, so the small repeat feels subtle rather than busy. The surface shows a fine woven texture, with the 16cm vertical and 18cm horizontal repeat creating a restrained but clearly defined pattern. Woven in 44% viscose, 32% cotton and 24% polyester, it has the balanced handle expected of a decorative fabric with enough body for versatile use. At approximately 144cm wide, it offers practical coverage for both upholstery and curtains where you want the pattern to sit quietly in the room.

How to use it

Pair Darwin Aqua with pale oak, chalk white and brushed nickel for a calm, coastal-leaning scheme. Its cool aqua tone also works well beside deeper navy or slate accents to sharpen the pattern.

Use for tailored upholstery or airy curtains where a cool aqua speckle will brighten the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
