About this fabric

Woven in a 44% viscose, 32% cotton, 24% polyester blend, Darwin Green has the character of a versatile decorative fabric with a smooth, close handle. The repeat is V 16cm / H 18cm approx, and the small-scale pattern reads as a dense field of tiny dark marks across a pale green base. In this colourway the green feels muted and cool-leaning, with just enough depth in the motif to stop it looking flat. At 144cm approx wide, it offers practical coverage for upholstery or curtains where a subtle patterned cloth is wanted. Fire code √BM is noted.

How to use it

Use it on an upholstered armchair or Roman blind where the soft sage tone can sit quietly against oak, putty, or chalk white. It also works well in layered schemes that need pattern without strong contrast.

A muted sage ground with darker woven detail gives this design an easy, understated elegance.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
