Cleo FabricJ0249-08

Darwin Stone shows the Cleo design in a very soft stone-beige tone, with the pattern reading as fine and closely worked across the surface. The overall effect is calm and understated, with just enough texture to give the fabric depth.

About this fabric

Woven in 44% viscose, 32% cotton and 24% polyester, this fabric has a balanced handle that sits comfortably in either upholstery or drapery use. The repeat is approximately V 16cm by H 18cm, and the small-scale pattern appears as a dense, pebble-like texture rather than a bold motif. In this colourway the beige base is warm and restrained, with slightly deeper speckling that brings out the weave without making it busy. At approximately 144cm wide, it is a practical option for larger projects, and the √BM fire code adds to its specification appeal.

How to use it

Darwin Stone works well alongside limed woods, chalky paint shades and natural linens, where its soft beige tone can add quiet pattern. It is an easy choice for relaxed seating, tailored blinds or elegant loose covers that need texture without strong contrast.

A gentle neutral that adds quiet texture without competing with other finishes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
