Simbar Navy

Cleo FabricJ0247-04

Simbar Navy has a tightly worked abstract scatter pattern set over a deep navy ground, with pale cream and warm taupe flecks lifting the surface. The effect is textured and energetic, but still controlled in tone.

About this fabric

Woven in 85% viscose and 15% polyester, Simbar Navy is a 140cm-wide fabric with an approximate vertical repeat of 30cm and horizontal repeat of 35cm. The small-scale pattern reads like irregular mosaic fragments, giving the cloth a lively, all-over movement rather than a strict geometric rhythm. In this colourway, the navy base feels cool and grounded, while the lighter marks sit clearly on top and keep the design from becoming too heavy. The finish has a soft visual depth that suits a smart interior without feeling overly formal. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

This deep navy version works well on a statement armchair, banquette or cushions where the speckled contrast can be seen up close. Pair it with pale oak, chalky neutrals or brushed brass to sharpen the darker ground.

Use for tailored upholstery or curtains where the navy ground and light speckling can add crisp contrast.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
