Voltaire FabricM4130-28
Voltaire Brique is a richly coloured plain fabric with a softly textured surface and a warm, brick-red appearance. Its woven finish gives the colour a subtle, shadowy depth rather than a flat solid look.

About this fabric
Voltaire Brique from Manuel Canovas is a textile with no repeat, which suits its simple, textural expression and keeps the focus on the colour. The cloth is 140cm wide and composed of 42% Cotton, 38% Viscose, 15% Polyester and 5% Linen, giving it a grounded handle with a slight dry-lustrous softness in the weave. In this colourway, the red reads as a deep terracotta-brick shade, warmed with brown undertones and darkened by the weave so it feels earthy rather than bright. The surface has a fine, crosshatched texture that catches the light gently, adding nuance without introducing pattern. With √BM fire code and no performance features noted, it is a versatile decorative fabric for schemes that need colour and tactile depth.
How to use it
Use this burnt brick red to bring warmth to walnut, brass and tobacco leather, or soften it with cream linen and aged oak. It works especially well where you want a smart, grounded colour that feels richer than plain red.
A warm brick-red plain weave that adds depth and character to tailored upholstery or relaxed curtains.

Pairs well with
Voltaire Brique is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
