Acanthus Marble

Archive II Wallpapers WallpaperMOW0035-04

Acanthus Marble layers pale, finely outlined acanthus leaves over a cool silver-grey ground. The densely arranged foliage has the look of an engraved botanical drawing, with sweeping stems and curling leaf forms creating a richly decorative surface.

About this fabric

The cool grey background gives this colourway a calm, architectural mood, while the near-white leaves and delicate grey linework keep the overall impression light. Large overlapping acanthus forms fill the design, with curved stems and layered veins creating visual depth without strong colour contrast. The usable width is 52 cm, with a 61 cm vertical pattern repeat and no horizontal repeat listed. Its standard length is 10.05 m and the supplied weight is 181 gsm.

How to use it

Use Acanthus Marble to bring soft definition to a bedroom, hallway or formal sitting room, balancing its cool silver-grey ground with chalky whites, pale stone and brushed nickel. Keep surrounding upholstery relatively quiet so the sweeping botanical pattern remains the room’s focal point.

Pair the cool grey ground and pale acanthus leaves with crisp white, stone and restrained metallic accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
