About this fabric

Shimmer Charcoal is a dense, tactile-looking weave built from charcoal, black and silver-grey threads, with scattered pale flecks breaking up the dark ground. The broken, horizontal-led texture gives the surface a softly irregular, almost mineral character rather than a crisp geometric motif. Its 72cm vertical by 34.5cm horizontal repeat should be allowed for when matching the pattern across upholstery panels. At 562gsm with a 137cm usable width, it has the substantial presence of an upholstery textile; the supplied standard length is 40m.

How to use it

Use this deep, cool charcoal on a statement sofa or occasional chair, pairing it with chalky upholstery, smoked timber and brushed metal so the silver-grey threads can catch the light.

Use its charcoal depth to anchor pale upholstery and let the silver flecks catch side light.
