About this fabric
Court Velvet Charcoal is a near-black charcoal velvet with a softly clouded surface, shifting between smoky grey and ink-dark plum-grey as the light moves across the pile. There is no visible printed motif, allowing the nap’s tonal variation and restrained sheen to define the cloth. Made from 72% viscose, 21% cotton and 7% polyester, it is 137 cm wide and rated to 50,000 Martindale rubs. The supplied usage includes curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.
How to use it
Use this cool, deep charcoal on a statement chair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its smoky sheen can add depth without introducing a pattern. It can also bring a darker, more atmospheric finish to curtains or bedspreads.
A deep charcoal velvet with a softly shifting nap, suited to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Pairs well with
Court Velvet Charcoal is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
