Court Velvet Ruby is a deep, saturated red velvet with a softly shifting surface visible across the swatch. Its plain face lets the richness of the ruby tone take centre stage.

About this fabric

The solid ruby colour moves between dark wine-red and brighter crimson where the velvet pile catches the light, giving the surface subtle tonal depth. The close, softly lustrous texture is characteristic of velvet, with no visible printed or woven motif. Composed of 72% viscose, 21% cotton and 7% polyester, it measures 137 cm wide (53.82"). With a 50,000 Martindale rub test, it is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Care is professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use this deep ruby red on a reading chair, sofa or upholstered headboard when the room needs a saturated focal colour. It also brings theatrical warmth to full-length curtains or a matching bedspread, especially against warm neutrals, dark timber or aged brass.
