Cubby Red
G P & J Baker X Kit Kemp Stripes II FabricBF11132.450
Cubby Red appears as a rich, deep red woven surface with a softly varied finish rather than a bright, flat scarlet. The close-up reveals a fine textile texture that gives the colour depth as the light moves across it.

About this fabric
Woven from 65% cotton and 35% jute, this 134 cm wide fabric has a tactile, subtly grainy surface visible across the deep garnet-red ground. Its 25,000 Martindale rub test makes it suitable for loose upholstery and fixed upholstery, as well as curtains and bedspreads. The red reads warm and saturated, while the understated weave gently softens its intensity. After care is professional dry cleaning only: do not wash, bleach or iron.
How to use it
Use Cubby Red to give a chair, headboard or sofa a grounded focal point, pairing its warm garnet tone with aged wood, cream textiles and darker brown accents. As curtains or a bedspread, it adds enveloping colour without relying on a printed motif.
This deep garnet red brings warmth and depth to tailored upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Pairs well with
Cubby Red is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
