Arundel Check Red
Essential Colour III - Colour FabricBF11180.2
Arundel Check Red pairs muted brick-red checks with a warm beige ground in a tightly woven, finely textured design. Its close scale gives the swatch a quietly patterned appearance, with the red reading as softened rather than bright.

About this fabric
The small check is formed from closely spaced red and beige woven squares, creating a subtly mottled surface with gentle tonal depth. Made from 55% viscose, 25% polyester and 20% linen, the fabric is 135 cm (53.04") wide. Its 3 cm (1.18") vertical repeat and 3.5 cm (1.38") horizontal repeat keep the pattern controlled across a larger cut. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.
How to use it
Use the warm, muted red as an accent on a chair, banquette or upholstered headboard, where the tiny check adds texture without dominating. It can also make relaxed curtains or a bedspread with a softly tailored, considered feel.
A finely woven mini-check that brings muted red warmth to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Arundel Check Red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
