Tetbury Velvet Damson
Tetbury Velvet VelvetBF11156.560
Tetbury Velvet Damson is a deep, wine-toned velvet with a quiet surface and subtle tonal variation where the nap catches the light. Its near-black burgundy depth gives the plain cloth a particularly opulent presence.

About this fabric
Made from 92% cotton and 8% polyester, this 140 cm (55") velvet has a dense, softly directional surface visible in the close-up swatch. The Damson colour reads as a saturated burgundy with cooler plum-brown shadows, rather than a bright or fiery red. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, with a 50,000 Martindale rub test for substantial everyday use. Care is professional dry cleaning only: do not wash, bleach or iron.
How to use it
Use this deep damson velvet on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard to bring dark wine colour and low-lit richness into a room. It also makes full, light-absorbing curtains or a layered bedspread with a more enveloping, intimate feel.
A richly shaded cotton-blend velvet for upholstered seating, headboards, curtains and bedspreads.

Pairs well with
Tetbury Velvet Damson is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
