Tetbury Velvet Aubergine is a deeply saturated plum-purple velvet with an almost blackened depth at the edges of the photographed swatch. Its short pile catches the light unevenly, creating soft smoky shifts across the otherwise plain surface.

About this fabric

Made from 92% cotton and 8% polyester, this 140 cm (55") velvet has a dense, plush appearance suited to both upholstery and window treatments. The aubergine tone reads cool and wine-dark, while the nap produces subtle lighter and darker passages rather than a visible pattern. Rated at 50,000 Martindale rubs, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Care is professional dry cleaning only: do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use this shadowed aubergine on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered bed to anchor rooms with warm neutrals, smoked timber and antique brass. As curtains, its deep plum tone will give a room a cocooning, low-lit feel.
