Tetbury Velvet Baltic

Tetbury Velvet VelvetBF11156.675

Tetbury Velvet Baltic appears as an almost-black, inky navy velvet with a gently mottled surface. Subtle changes in the pile create blue-grey shading across the close-up, giving the plain colour quiet depth.

About this fabric

The dense velvet surface reads as a cool midnight blue, with the nap catching the light in soft, uneven patches rather than a sharp sheen. Made from 92% cotton and 8% polyester, this 140 cm (55") wide fabric is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Its 50,000 Martindale rub test makes it a practical choice for hard-working upholstered pieces as well as decorative applications. Care is professional dry cleaning only: do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Pair this cool, inky navy with chalky whites, smoked oak and brushed metal for a deep, tailored scheme. On a sofa or headboard, its gently shifting pile adds richness without introducing a visible pattern.

Use this deep Baltic navy velvet to bring inky depth and a softly luxurious finish to upholstery, curtains or bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
