About this fabric
The swatch shows a rich blue-green shade, darker and more atmospheric than a bright turquoise, with gentle variations across the velvet nap. Its plain surface is defined by texture rather than a visible motif, giving the colourway a smooth yet softly changing appearance. Made from 92% cotton and 8% polyester, it is 140cm wide and suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 50,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on hard-working upholstered pieces; care requires professional dry cleaning, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.
How to use it
Pair this cool, deep peacock teal with warm timber, aged brass and softly chalky neutrals to balance its saturated depth. It works especially well on a tailored chair, upholstered headboard or full-length curtain where the velvet nap can catch the light.
Use this deep, cool teal velvet to bring saturated colour and softly shifting texture to upholstery, curtains or bedspreads.

Pairs well with
Tetbury Velvet Peacock is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
