Olivia Silk Teal

Marius FabricF4841-01

Olivia Silk Teal is a softly luminous teal ground with a lively birds-and-blossom pattern scattered across the surface. The colour reads cool and airy, with the motif standing out in fresh blues, reds, cream and gold.

About this fabric

Woven in 52% Silk, 36% Viscose and 12% Polyester, this fabric has the subtle sheen and fluid handle associated with dressier window treatments. The teal background is muted rather than bright, giving the multicoloured birds, flowers and branching stems a crisp but gentle contrast. Its repeat is approximately V 78cm / H 130cm, and the width is approximately 130cm, so the design is suited to full drops where the pattern can be allowed to breathe. With care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM, it combines decorative elegance with practical specification detail for a textile of this type.

How to use it

The cool aqua tone works beautifully with pale timber, chalky whites and deep indigo accents, especially where you want the birds and floral embroidery effect to remain the focus. Use it in a room with clean-lined upholstery so the fabric can bring in colour, movement and a distinctly decorative layer.

Use for statement curtains or soft Roman blinds to let the painterly embroidery-style motif read clearly.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Olivia Silk Teal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
