Sereni Russet

Marius FabricF4839-05

Sereni Russet is a warm, sun-baked colourway with a softly glowing terracotta ground and a creamy floral weave lifted clearly against it. The large-scale botanical pattern feels decorative without becoming harsh, thanks to the gentle contrast and textural finish.

About this fabric

This Marius fabric by Colefax and Fowler is composed of 50% Cotton, 29% Viscose and 21% Linen, with an approximate width of 140cm and a vertical repeat of 77cm and horizontal repeat of 70cm. In Sereni Russet, the ground reads as a muted apricot-russet rather than a deep red, giving the design a softened, light-catching warmth. The woven floral and leaf motif appears in a pale ivory tone that sits neatly on top of the base colour, so the pattern remains crisp but not stark. With no performance features noted and a fire code of √BM, it has the look of a refined decorative textile that can be used confidently on furnishings or window treatments.

How to use it

Use Sereni Russet where you want colour, but not brightness: it works beautifully on a statement chair, occasional sofa or full-length curtains in a room with oak, linen and aged brass. The warm terracotta note is especially effective alongside cream walls, tobacco wood and subdued green accessories.

The warm ground and creamy woven motif suit elegant upholstery or lined curtains with a gentle period feel.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
