About this fabric

This Colefax and Fowler fabric is supplied as a 141cm-wide textile with a repeat of approximately V 29cm and H 28cm. Its composition of 45% viscose, 35% cotton, 16% linen and 4% polyester helps explain the softly textured handle visible in the swatch. The check reads as a dusty terracotta with olive-leaf accents and a faint heathered softness, rather than a bright tartan or crisp shirting check. Fine woven lines in the grid keep the pattern structured while the slightly mottled surface softens the overall effect. With fire code √CH and care code Q 8 < T 3, it is a practical decorative cloth with a versatile, tailored finish.

How to use it

Use this colourway on an armchair, window seat or Roman blind where the terracotta tone can warm timber and painted neutrals. It also works well with aged brass, mossy greens and natural linens for a relaxed country scheme.

A warm check that brings an easy country feel to both upholstery and curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Dunmore Check Terracotta/Leaf without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
