Malabar Fabric03051-04

Malabar Coral shows a lively coral-red pattern scattered across a soft biscuit ground, giving the design a warm, sunlit feel. The repeat reads as a compact all-over motif with an easy decorative rhythm.

About this fabric

This Malabar colourway combines 90% cotton with 10% polyester, so the cloth has the look of a natural weave with a little added stability. The motif appears as tiny rust-coral marks set against a pale beige background, creating a dry, textured surface effect rather than a glossy finish. With a repeat of approximately V 15cm and H 11cm, the pattern has enough movement to feel animated without becoming dominant. The width is approximately 132cm, and the fabric is finished with care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code √CM. The overall impression is warm, earthy and slightly faded, closer to terracotta than a bright true coral.

How to use it

Use this coral-toned small pattern to warm up timber furniture, neutral upholstery and relaxed curtains. It works especially well in rooms that need a little colour without losing the calm, sandy background.

A lively coral tone that brings warmth to curtains or upholstery with a crisp decorative finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
