Malabar Green

Malabar Fabric03051-03

Malabar Green has a soft, mottled sage look, with tiny darker flecks that give the surface a quietly lived-in texture. The overall effect is pale and airy, but still grounded by the peppered pattern across the cloth.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a muted sage green with a warm, parchment-like base, so the pattern feels restrained rather than sharp. The tiny speckled motif is set on a small scale, with an approximate vertical repeat of 15cm and horizontal repeat of 11cm, creating a subtle all-over rhythm. Woven in 90% cotton and 10% polyester, and measuring approximately 132cm wide, it has the practical structure you’d expect from a versatile decorative fabric. The finish appears gently dry and softly textured, which keeps the green calm and natural rather than glossy or vivid.

How to use it

Use Malabar Green to bring a gentle botanical note to upholstered dining chairs, a banquette, or a cushioned window seat. Its pale sage tone also works well with oak, limestone, and warm neutral paint colours.

A soft sage ground with tiny darker flecks that adds quiet texture without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
