About this fabric

The muted sage-green branches are spread across the cloth in a repeating, airy arrangement, while the cream base keeps the colourway light rather than strongly saturated. At 510gsm, this is a substantial textile suited to upholstery, with a 137cm usable width for practical cutting. Its vertical pattern repeat is 39.5cm and its horizontal repeat is 35cm, giving the leafy motif a clearly measured medium scale. The woven texture and softened sage contrast give Ferndown Sage a relaxed, heritage-led appearance.

How to use it

Use Ferndown Sage on a buttoned armchair, country sofa or upholstered headboard where its cool, muted foliage can sit against warm oak, chalky paint and natural linen. The pale cream ground also helps the sage branches read as a gentle accent rather than a dominant pattern.

A softly weathered sage botanical on a pale cream ground, with enough visual depth for upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
