Melrose Heather
Halcyon FabricCCF0186-03
Melrose Heather has a pale, softly muted ground carrying trailing leafy stems, taupe foliage and small clusters of lavender-grey flowers. Its lightly textured surface gives the cool floral palette a gentle, tactile depth.

About this fabric
The colourway combines a pale heather-sage ground with warm taupe and olive-leaning leaves, while the clustered blossoms bring restrained lavender and grey-violet notes. Fine vertical texture is visible across the ground, subtly catching the light without overpowering the botanical drawing. At 440 gsm, this is a substantial fabric well suited to upholstery. The pattern repeats 32.5 cm vertically and 44 cm horizontally across its 137 cm usable width, allowing the interlaced vines and flower sprays to be planned carefully on a chair or sofa.
How to use it
Use Melrose Heather on a buttoned armchair, headboard or occasional sofa in a room with chalky walls and warm timber. Echo its quiet lavender flowers with a plain grey-violet cushion, or let the taupe foliage sit alongside oatmeal and natural linen tones.
A softly traditional floral in a pale heather-sage palette, suited to upholstered seating where its lavender accents can be picked out with plain textures.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Melrose Heather without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
