Melrose Duckegg

Melrose Duckegg has a softly textured cream ground covered with winding taupe branches, feathery leaves and small clusters of pale duckegg-blue flowers. The restrained colour contrast gives the botanical design a cool, quietly collected feel.

About this fabric

With a weight of 440gsm, this substantial fabric is well suited to upholstery applications. The 137cm usable width makes it practical for furniture projects, while the 32.5cm vertical and 44cm horizontal pattern repeats define the placement of the climbing branches and flower sprays. Against the warm cream background, the duckegg blossoms read as muted blue-green, balanced by taupe leaves and lightly shaded stems. Its fine surface texture adds gentle depth without overpowering the delicate botanical drawing.

How to use it

Use Melrose Duckegg on a reading chair, headboard or occasional sofa where its cool duckegg flowers can sit alongside warm oak, ivory walls and taupe plain fabrics. The cream ground keeps the pattern light, while the muted foliage adds enough tonal depth for layered upholstery schemes.

Pair the cool duckegg blooms with warm timber and soft taupe upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
