Dorset Linen

Heritage FabricCCF0254-06

Dorset Linen has a softly luminous ivory ground, overlaid with closely spaced greige geometric floral medallions. Its woven surface gives the pale colour gentle depth, so it reads warmer and more tactile than a flat cream.

About this fabric

This substantial 510 gsm fabric has the visual weight of a hard-wearing upholstery cloth, with a compact pattern formed from linked, rounded medallions and small diamond-like details. The warm ivory base keeps the colourway light, while the muted greige pattern adds definition without creating a strong contrast. A 5.7 cm vertical repeat and 5.8 cm horizontal repeat give the motif a neat, regular rhythm across a chair, headboard or sofa. The 137 cm usable width and 40 m standard length provide practical coverage for upholstery planning.

How to use it

Pair the warm ivory and greige palette with pale oak, weathered timber or soft taupe upholstery plains. On a traditional armchair or dining seat, the small repeat adds pattern while preserving a light, composed room scheme.

Use this softly patterned ivory upholstery to brighten traditional seating while keeping the overall look calm and tailored.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
