About this fabric

This colourway of Malabar has a softly weathered beige base with dense little brown flecks that read almost like a pebble or seed scatter from a distance. The repeat is fairly compact, with a vertical repeat of about 15cm and a horizontal repeat of about 11cm, giving the design a gentle all-over rhythm. Woven in 90% cotton and 10% polyester, it has the easy, natural look of cotton with a touch of practical support from the polyester content. At approximately 132cm wide, it is a versatile fabric for curtains or upholstery where a muted, warm neutral is needed. The small-scale pattern keeps the surface lively without overpowering a room.

How to use it

Use Malabar Beige to soften tailored upholstery, roman blinds or relaxed curtains where a warm, lived-in neutral will balance timber and painted joinery. Its biscuit-brown speckling works especially well alongside creams, oak, putty and deeper coffee tones.

A softly mottled neutral that layers easily with linen, timber and darker accent pieces.
