Oakham Fabrics FabricSCF0145-02

Sweet Bay Print Forest spreads delicate sage-green leaves across a warm cream ground in a densely layered botanical arrangement. The muted colour contrast keeps the pattern fresh and light rather than vivid.

About this fabric

The leafy print combines cool, softened sage with an ivory-cream background, while the closely packed stems and overlapping leaves create gentle visual depth. Its 40 cm vertical repeat and 70 cm horizontal repeat give the design a considered, medium-scale rhythm across the cloth. At 252 gsm and 38 threads per cm, it has a versatile mid-weight feel with a fine textile grain visible beneath the print. The 141 cm usable width makes it suitable for coordinated upholstery and drapery applications.

How to use it

Use this pale sage-and-cream colourway on a reading chair, relaxed blind or full-length curtain, pairing it with warm oak, chalky neutrals and softly textured plains.

Use the muted sage foliage with warm cream, pale timber and natural textures for a calm, softly botanical scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Sweet Bay Print Forest without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
