Swithland Embroidery Ladybird Red

Oakham Fabrics FabricSCF0146-01

Swithland Embroidery Ladybird Red pairs a warm, saturated red trellis with a soft cream ground. The close-set diamond lattice has a visibly tactile, slightly irregular edge that gives the colourway depth rather than a flat printed appearance.

About this fabric

The small geometric repeat measures 12 cm vertically and horizontally, creating a continuous chain of cream diamond openings framed by red embroidery-like lines. At 370 gsm, the fabric has a substantial mid-weight presence suited to both upholstery and drapery. Its 136 cm usable width offers generous coverage, while the 85 threads per cm specification reflects the closely constructed textile surface visible in the swatch. The Ladybird Red tone reads warm and lively against the cream, with the raised red pattern catching the light across the close-up texture.

How to use it

Use this warm red and cream colourway on a statement armchair, dining seat or pair of cushions, then repeat the red in piping or a small accessory. Its compact trellis also lends itself to neat Roman blinds or tailored curtains where the 12 cm repeat can remain clearly visible.

Use the warm red lattice as a crisp accent on cream upholstery, cushions or tailored window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
