About this fabric

This checked fabric has a 29cm vertical repeat and a 28cm horizontal repeat, giving the design a clear, balanced rhythm across the cloth. The composition of 45% viscose, 35% cotton, 16% linen and 4% polyester helps the surface read with a soft natural handle rather than a crisp, flat finish. In this colourway the red stripes are rich but not overly bright, while the green crossing lines stay deeper and more restrained, so the overall effect feels warm, grounded and traditional. The 141cm approximate width makes it practical for larger upholstery pieces as well as coordinated drapery schemes. Its woven texture and mid-weight character make it a versatile choice for both seating and curtains.

How to use it

Use it with oak, leather and painted wood for a layered country look, or pair it with plain linen and deep green accents to let the red bands stand out. The muted beige ground keeps the check easy to live with even in rooms that already have plenty of texture.
