Colefax and Fowler

Leona Red/Green

Marius FabricF4856-01

Leona Red/Green shows a trailing vertical stripe of coral-red floral motifs linked by leafy green stems across a soft ivory ground. The pattern feels airy and orderly, with the colour sitting lightly on the cloth rather than reading heavy or dense.

About this fabric

This Colefax and Fowler fabric is composed of 68% linen, 26% viscose and 6% polyester, giving the cloth a natural-looking handle with a smoother finish than pure linen. The design has a vertical repeat of approximately 39cm and a horizontal repeat of approximately 33cm, which creates a gently undulating stripe effect in use. In this colourway, the red appears warm coral rather than brick or crimson, and the green stems are fresh and slightly olive, so the overall effect is bright but restrained. The pale ground keeps the pattern open and allows the woven texture to show through without visual clutter.

How to use it

Use it for curtains or roman blinds where the vertical rhythm can elongate a window and the red-green palette can lift a neutral room. It works especially well with pale wood, painted cream furniture and soft sage or terracotta accents.

A light, decorative stripe that brings a fresh period feel to curtains or blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
