Colefax and Fowler

Fontenoy Navy

Marius FabricF4859-02

Fontenoy Navy brings the Marius floral into a rich, grounded navy that lets the decorative bouquet stand out crisply. The print reads ornate but not heavy, with warm coral, peach and soft cream flowers lifted by olive and muted rose details.

About this fabric

This 100% linen fabric has a generous repeat of approximately V 73cm / H 70cm and a width of approximately 141cm, making the pattern feel open and substantial across a larger scale project. The deep navy ground in this colourway gives the design a cooler, more tailored feel than a lighter ground, while the coral, blush and apricot tones stay vivid against it. The linen surface softens the detail slightly, so the overall effect is textured and woven rather than flat or glossy. With Q 8 + T 3 care coding and √BM fire compliance noted, it is a practical decorative textile as well as a statement pattern.

How to use it

This navy colourway works well in a formal sitting room, study or dining space where the floral motif can read against timber, painted joinery or brass accents. Pair it with cream, olive and muted terracotta accents to echo the warmer notes in the design.

Use with warm wood, aged brass and linen textures to soften the ornate navy ground.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
