Carlotta Old Blue
Medora FabricF4788-04
Carlotta Old Blue shows a petite geometric lattice in a softly faded blue, warmed by cream and muted beige detailing. The overall effect is calm and lightly aged, with a gentle printed look that sits quietly across the cloth.

About this fabric
This Colefax and Fowler fabric from the Medora collection is a textile with a repeat of approximately V 5cm / H 4cm and a width of approximately 138cm, making the pattern read as a neat, close-scaled surface rather than a bold statement. The composition is 54% Viscose, 22% Polyester, 15% Linen and 9% Cotton, which helps explain the slightly refined sheen and the dry, natural-looking ground visible in the swatch. In this Old Blue colourway, the small repeating motif is softened into dusty blue-green tones with a cream background and tiny warm beige accents, giving the design a fresh but settled mood. The fabric appears light enough for drapery yet structured enough for upholstery, and the fire code √CH is supplied.
How to use it
Use it on a slipper chair, headboard or tailored curtains where the small repeat can be appreciated up close. The cool, muted blue works especially well with chalk white, weathered oak and pale grey paintwork.
A restrained small-scale pattern that suits tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Carlotta Old Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
