About this fabric

This Medora fabric from Colefax and Fowler has a compact geometric repeat that measures approximately V 5cm / H 4cm, giving the design a crisp, orderly rhythm across the width. The 138cm-wide cloth is woven in 54% viscose, 22% polyester, 15% linen and 9% cotton, which helps explain the slightly matte, softly textured finish visible in the swatch. Carlotta Forest reads as a muted woodland green rather than a bright emerald, with the darker motif settling into a natural beige ground for a balanced, grounded look. With its smart scale and mixed-fibre handle, it feels well suited to either upholstery or drapery where a structured patterned surface is wanted.

How to use it

Use Carlotta Forest on a chair, ottoman or cushion where the small-scale diamond pattern can be appreciated up close. It also works well in a scheme with oak, antique brass and warm neutrals, letting the forest green bring depth without feeling heavy.

A compact green-and-neutral weave that adds tailored pattern without overpowering a room.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Carlotta Forest without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
