Marius Celadon

Marius FabricF4840-06

Marius Celadon is a softly luminous damask with a cool celadon ground and a gentle gold-toned pattern. The large-scale scrollwork reads refined and slightly aged, with the sheen lifting the motif against the matte-looking background.

About this fabric

This fabric is composed of 40% Linen, 36% Viscose and 24% Silk, giving the surface a relaxed body with a subtle lustre. The colourway blends muted celadon green with a brushed, antique-looking gold pattern, so the design feels fresh rather than bright. Its large repeat of V 71cm / H 71cm approx gives the damask plenty of room to show the scrolling motif and central medallion shapes. At 142cm wide approx, it offers a practical width for curtains, cushions or statement upholstery where a formal decorative pattern is wanted.

How to use it

Use Marius Celadon on a tailored armchair, curtains or a headboard where the cool green can soften darker timber and stone. It also works well with ivory, pale oak and muted brass for a layered, calm scheme.

Pair with pale woods and chalky neutrals to let the celadon and soft gold patterning read gently.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
