Colefax and Fowler

Mariella Pink/Green

Marius FabricF4860-01

Mariella Pink/Green is a painterly floral linen with an airy cream ground and a delicate, garden-like scatter of roses and foliage. The pink blooms and cool green leaves feel softly aged, giving the design a relaxed but refined character.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen and measuring approximately 141cm wide, this fabric has a natural, lightly slubby handle that suits both curtains and lighter upholstery uses. The repeat is large, at approximately V 86cm and H 71cm, which lets the winding branches and generous flowers open out across a room. In this colourway, the blush pink petals read soft rather than sugary, balanced by sage, celadon and pale aqua greens on a warm ivory ground. The overall effect is classic Colefax and Fowler romance with enough freshness to keep it from feeling overly formal. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are noted for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Mariella Pink/Green where you want pattern with a light hand: the washed rose tones work beautifully against painted woodwork, pale timber and quiet neutrals. It is especially effective on full-length drapes, cushions or a statement chair in a room that needs softness and colour without heaviness.

A fresh linen print with a gently faded rose-and-sage palette that feels elegant without being stiff.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Mariella Pink/Green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
