Lucius Gold

Marius FabricF4104-05

Lucius Gold presents a softly glowing damask pattern with an aged gold ground and pale, chalky highlights. The design feels rich but worn-in, with the motif blending gently into the surface rather than sitting in sharp contrast.

About this fabric

Woven in 42% Linen, 38% Viscose and 20% Silk, Lucius Gold has a refined handle that sits comfortably in the mid-weight category for both upholstery and drapery. The cloth shows a large damask-style repeat, approximately V 97cm and H 64cm, with scrolling foliage forms that drift across the surface in muted gold, beige and olive-tinted tones. The silk content gives the face a subdued sheen, while the linen brings a drier, textural softness that keeps the overall effect from feeling too glossy. Its warm antique colouring reads restrained and elegant, with the pattern appearing especially gentle where the light catches the raised motif.

How to use it

Use Lucius Gold on a statement armchair, a tailored headboard or full-length curtains where its pale gold ground can lift a room without overwhelming it. It pairs well with aged woods, parchment neutrals and deeper olive accents that echo the quieter tones in the pattern.

A warm, luminous damask that suits elegant upholstery or layered drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
