About this fabric

The design is formed from vertical patterned columns filled with symmetrical scrolling and paisley-like arabesque motifs, edged by fine dotted borders. In this Old Blue colourway, the muted blue appears softened rather than saturated, allowing the warm pale ground to remain visible between the bands. The repeat is approximately 15cm vertically and 34cm horizontally, giving the ornament a measured, closely spaced cadence. Made from 100% non-woven material, this is a wallpaper design rather than a textile for upholstery or drapery.

How to use it

Use the softly contrasted Old Blue on walls where a decorative pattern is wanted without a strong, dark statement. Its chalky blue and pale creamy ground sit naturally with warm ivory, light taupe and softly weathered painted finishes.

Pair the cool old-blue ornament with pale neutrals for a quietly elegant wall scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
