Cassia Olive

Marius FabricF4842-02

Cassia Olive shows a softly aged floral pattern in muted olive and sage tones, lifted by a warm beige ground. The design reads ornate but subdued, with the embroidery-like detail sitting gently on the surface.

About this fabric

This fabric from the Marius collection by Colefax and Fowler has a width of approximately 127cm and is composed of 62% cotton, 30% viscose and 8% linen. The surface shows a decorative floral repeat with scrolling stems and stylised blooms, worked in quiet olive, moss and faded teal-green against a sandy beige background. The overall effect is softly antique rather than bright, with the greens appearing dusted and slightly weathered in the light. Its medium cloth handle and refined pattern make it suitable for both upholstery and drapery where a traditional, characterful finish is wanted.

How to use it

Use Cassia Olive on a petit sofa, bedroom curtains or a statement armchair to bring a settled, heritage feel to the room. It works especially well with aged brass, biscuit neutrals and dark timber, which deepen the muted green tones.

Pair with warm woods and plain linens to let the soft olive florals stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
