About this fabric

This colourway of Marius is printed with a large floral repeat, measuring approximately V 76cm and H 65cm, and the pattern has a graceful, all-over symmetry that sits comfortably across a full width of about 130cm. The composition of 37% viscose, 32% linen, 26% cotton and 5% polyester gives it a natural-looking body with a refined finish, so the surface feels tailored rather than heavy. In Dianthus Beige, the background is a warm oatmeal-beige and the motif is softened with ivory, sage, pale aqua and restrained ochre details, which keeps the design calm rather than high contrast. The overall effect is decorative but quiet, with the linen-rich texture helping the colours read slightly matte and relaxed. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Dianthus Beige works well on upholstered occasional chairs, a headboard or pelmets where its formal floral rhythm can show. Pair it with pale walls and aged metal finishes to echo the fabric’s gentle beige-and-aqua palette.

Use with pale timber, plaster tones and antique brass to keep the embroidery-style florals feeling light.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
