About this fabric

Woven in 100% wool, this fabric has the reassuring body and surface texture you expect from a traditional check cloth, with enough weight to work comfortably for both upholstery and drapery. The repeat is approximately V 30cm by H 25.5cm, creating a generously scaled plaid that reads clearly across larger pieces. In this colourway, the red is deep and slightly brown-edged rather than bright, while the green stripes are restrained and earthy, so the whole design feels mellow rather than loud. The overall effect is dry, tailored and grounded, with the check sharpened by narrow darker lines that add definition across the weave. It is finished with care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BH.

How to use it

Pair it with dark wood, aged brass and plain wool textures to let the red-and-green check stay central. It works especially well in studies, snug seating, window seats or lined curtains where the muted tartan tone can feel cosy rather than rustic.
