About this fabric

This Kelburn Check colourway is woven in 100% wool, with an approximate repeat of V 20cm and H 18cm and a width of 148cm. The fabric reads as a cool, misted blue-grey, softened by chalky cream cross-lines and deeper taupe-brown checks that keep the pattern grounded. Its surface has a lightly brushed, woollen texture rather than a crisp finish, which suits the relaxed but orderly tartan effect visible in the swatch. The palette feels subdued and versatile, with enough contrast to define the check without losing the gentle, aged character of the cloth.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, bench seat or curtain where the soft blue-grey ground can temper darker timber and painted joinery. It pairs especially well with oak, putty neutrals and faded indigo accents.
