About this fabric

This Lanark Plaid Green colourway in the Lisle collection is woven in 100% wool, with a repeat of approximately V 11.5cm / H 12cm and a width of approximately 138cm. The check reads as a deep olive green ground with narrow red stripes and warmer brown-ochre bars, giving the pattern a traditional but not overly bold presence. The wool surface looks slightly mellow and dry rather than glossy, which helps the colours sit together in a calm, tailored way. With no performance notes supplied, it is best considered for interiors where the natural handle and structured look of wool are the main appeal.

How to use it

Its dark olive tone works especially well with oak, leather and painted wood, or as a quieter counterpoint to cream upholstery and warm neutrals. Use it on a statement chair, bench cushion or lined curtains if you want a heritage check with a grounded, autumnal feel.

Use for tailored upholstery or curtains that want a quietly classic country-house feel.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
