About this fabric

Magnus Plaid Red/Green from Colefax and Fowler is a fabric with an approximate 143cm width and a repeat of V 25cm / H 24cm. Its blend of viscose, cotton, linen, wool and a touch of polyester gives the cloth a dry, textile-rich handle that suits a versatile interior use. In this colourway, the red reads as muted brick and rose rather than bright scarlet, while the green threads bring in a sage-olive note that softens the check. The overall effect is warm, grounded and slightly faded, with the lighter grid lines giving the design more definition against the busy tartan ground.

How to use it

Use it where you want a traditional check to feel lighter and less formal, such as a small sofa, dining chair or fitted bench. It also works well with painted wood, aged oak and plain linens that pick up the fabric's soft green and dusty red.
