About this fabric

Catalogued as a fabric, Apsley - Terracotta has a visibly close, nubby weave that gives the surface depth rather than a flat printed appearance. The plaid combines warm terracotta, ochre and muted olive-grey with taupe and dark brown lines, creating a layered check with a gently aged feel. Its medium-scale pattern is clearly defined but softened by the irregular texture of the weave. The terracotta reads earthy and welcoming, with the lighter ground allowing the darker lines to remain distinct.

How to use it

Use this warm terracotta colourway on a country armchair, window seat or occasional sofa where its textured check can work with natural timber, tan leather and aged brass. Balance the earthy red tones with cream, oatmeal or muted olive textiles.

Use this warm terracotta plaid to bring an earthy, textured country feel to upholstered seating, especially alongside timber, tan leather and muted olive accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
