Astell Teal
Essential Colour III - Colour FabricBF11177.615
Astell Teal has a cool, muted blue-green ground with a delicate woven texture that reads almost like a tiny tonal check. Fine pale threads soften the teal, giving the surface a quietly dimensional appearance rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric
Woven from 47% viscose, 33% cotton and 20% linen, this 140 cm wide fabric combines a soft mixed-fibre surface with a finely grained, closely spaced design. The restrained teal shade is lifted by subtle grey-green and pale thread variation, while the small 2 cm vertical and 2.5 cm horizontal repeats create a discreet micro-scale structure. With a 45,000 Martindale rub test, Astell Teal is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Professional dry cleaning is required; do not wash, bleach or iron.
How to use it
Use Astell Teal to bring a cool, collected blue-green note to an upholstered chair, sofa or headboard, where its fine texture can be seen up close. It also works as softly tailored curtains or a bedspread, pairing naturally with warm timber, chalky neutrals and brushed metal.
A finely textured blue teal weave with a softly tailored feel, suitable for curtains, upholstery and bedspreads.

Pairs well with
Astell Teal is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
