Queen's Garden Velvet Jade
Historic Royal Palaces VelvetBP10644.1
Queen's Garden Velvet Jade has a deep jade-teal ground with a softly lustrous velvet surface, overlaid by scattered painterly flowers. Muted peach, cream, ochre and leafy green details emerge from the dark ground with an aged, garden-like depth.

About this fabric
The floral design is arranged in a medium-scale repeat of 52 cm vertically and 69 cm horizontally, with individual blooms and fine foliage drifting across the jade background. Its 55% viscose and 45% cotton composition gives the velvet a tactile surface that catches the light across the blue-green pile. At 137 cm wide, it is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The 50,000 Martindale rub test makes this colourway a practical choice for hard-working upholstered seating as well as decorative applications.
How to use it
Use the cool, deep jade-teal ground to anchor a reading chair, sofa or upholstered headboard, then pick up the faded peach and ochre flowers in warm timber, antique brass or softly neutral furnishings. As curtains, its dark botanical depth will create a more enveloping scheme without losing the detail of the floral repeat.
A richly coloured floral velvet that brings deep jade-teal depth to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
