Royal Garden Velvet Amber/Jade has a deep, shadowed ground scattered with dense painterly blooms in burnt amber, copper, jade and moss. The velvet surface gives the darker colourway noticeable depth, with lighter petals catching the light across the swatch.

About this fabric

This Historic Royal Palaces velvet is woven from 55% viscose and 45% cotton, with a 137 cm width and a substantial 50,000 Martindale rub rating. Its closely packed floral design has a 64 cm vertical repeat and 69 cm horizontal repeat, allowing the amber and jade blooms to build an immersive pattern across larger pieces. Rust, ochre and copper flowers warm the near-black, charcoal-brown ground, while muted jade foliage adds cool contrast. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care instructions specify professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use this dark amber-and-jade velvet on a statement armchair, sofa or headboard, then repeat its mossy greens and copper flowers in plain cushions or painted joinery. Its deep, luxe colouring also suits full-length curtains where the velvet pile can show changing highlights.
