Persian Garden Velvet Teal/Spice

East To West VelvetBP10711.2

Persian Garden Velvet Teal/Spice is a densely detailed botanical velvet with deep blue-green grounds, rusty spice accents and a softly weathered, painterly surface. Fine floral and leafy forms emerge in olive, brown and muted turquoise, giving the colourway considerable depth.

About this fabric

Made from 55% viscose and 45% cotton, this 138 cm (54.21") wide velvet has a 40 cm (15.71") vertical repeat and a 69 cm (27.11") horizontal repeat. Its intricate garden motif is woven in compact clusters, with cooler teal notes catching the light against warm spice, moss and tobacco shades. The substantial velvet handle and 50,000 Martindale rub test make it suitable for fixed and loose upholstery as well as curtains and bedspreads. For care, do not wash, bleach or iron; professional dry cleaning is required.

How to use it

Use the deep teal and weathered spice tones on a statement armchair, sofa or headboard, then echo the olive and tobacco notes in plain cushions and timber finishes. As curtains, its dark, richly mixed palette will create a cocooning backdrop rather than a bright or airy effect.

A richly layered velvet combining deep teal, spice, olive and earthy brown for characterful upholstery and dramatic curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
