This Hydrangea Bird colourway sets an intricate garden scene against a warm mustard-ochre ground. Mauve and pink flowers, vivid blue birds and branching brown stems give the swatch a richly layered, jewel-like character.

About this fabric

The fine linen weave is visible beneath a warm mustard ground, which gives the design a deeper ochre cast than the lighter flowers and birds around it. Branching brown stems carry red, coral, pink and mauve blooms, with blue and turquoise feathers adding crisp cooler accents. At 137 cm wide, the fabric has a 111 cm vertical repeat and 137 cm horizontal repeat, so the large-scale composition needs thoughtful pattern placement. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, with a 20,000 Martindale rub test. Care is professional dry cleaning only: do not wash or iron.

How to use it

Use the warm mustard ground to bring depth to a reading room, bedroom or sitting room, balancing its mauve blooms with brown wood and restrained blue accents. Its 111 cm vertical repeat makes it particularly effective on full-height curtains or carefully matched upholstery panels.
