About this fabric

Part of the Vintage Velvet collection by J Brown, this plain velvet is woven in 100% polyester and specified for contract use. The fabric carries a 30,000 Martindale rating and is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, with other treatments available on request. In this ochre colourway, the pile reads as a deep mustard-gold with earthy brown undertones, so it feels warm and grounded rather than vivid. The finish has a gentle sheen that shifts across the surface, adding depth to the tone without making it overly glossy. Wipeable or professional dry clean in situ care helps suit it to busy interiors where a luxurious look still needs practical performance.

How to use it

Use this ochre velvet on an accent chair, banquette or sofa to bring warmth to timber, leather and dark metal finishes. It also works well in layered schemes with olive, tobacco and textured neutrals where the golden tone can stand out without feeling loud.
